Re-designed the entire web application for a client with an existing initial version. Delivered a new visual identity, revised the navigation system for clarity, introduced key features to support workflows, and proposed improved layouts that elevated usability and scalability.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
IDM is an industrial monitoring platform designed to track the technical health of large-scale equipment through integrated sensors. The tool collects real-time data from multiple machines, providing operators, engineers, and managers with critical insights into performance, maintenance needs, and potential risks. Users rely on IDM to detect anomalies early, schedule preventative maintenance, and ensure operational continuity across complex industrial systems.
Client
I led the redesign of IDM’s web application, transforming its initial version into a scalable, user-focused platform. Working closely with developers, project managers, and the business owner, I introduced a new visual identity, streamlined navigation, and layouts tailored to different roles. I also contributed to defining new features and workflows, ensuring the interface not only supported technical accuracy but also improved clarity, usability, and decision-making efficiency for all user groups.

DESIGN PREVIEW
As an experience design team working on this graduate project, we constantly asked ourselves, "Is there a need for intervention?" We needed to identify problem areas within our client’s existing brand and product while deeply understanding customer needs and what they value enough to invest in. This project was particularly challenging for me, as it required working on a final project at an accelerated pace due to the limited time of the intersession semester. We had to adhere to the principle of "garbage in, garbage out," ensuring that our ideas moved quickly and efficiently to meet the tight deadlines.

CONCLUSION
Working on IDM was an amazing experience, as it was my first opportunity to design for a real client on a paid project. The stakes felt higher because the platform serves real users in critical industrial settings, which meant every design decision carried real responsibility. Collaborating with stakeholders and seeing my work directly influence a functioning product gave me a deeper appreciation for the impact of thoughtful design in professional practice.
